In a web browser an access key (or accesskey) allows a computer user to immediately jump to a specific part of a website or page via the keyboard.
On Windows, use ALT + accesskey. On Apple computers, use CTRL + accesskey.
On Internet Explorer, ALT + accesskey will only focus on the page element; press ENTER to execute the action.
Which letter can be used is shown in the tooltip, inside a parentheses. To display a tooltip, leave your mouse cursor for a few seconds over a link without clicking it. Example Link
(Internet Explorer, Safari, Netscape and Mozilla browsers support Access Keys, but Opera doesn't.)
